SPEAK is a coalition of San Francisco K-8 schools that have joined together to enhance collective parent/guardian education.

Our goal is to enrich the education and learning experience of our families, our children and our communities. We endeavor to add value to parent/guardian education opportunities in the San Francisco/ Bay Area by:

• Offering fresh and innovative programming and presentations

• Staying abreast of parent/guardian education opportunities available in individual school communities.

• Staying abreast of parent education opportunities provided by partner organizations such as Parenting in Place, Common Grounds, and the SF Coalition of High Schools in order to provide additional resources to member schools.

• Discerning present and future goals for parent/guardian education

• Selecting presentation topics rather than individual speakers so that the content of our presentations isn’t limited by a specific speaker’s expertise.

• Creating speaker events that are unique to SPEAK and utilize the breadth of knowledge and experience in our community

• Staying flexible and nimble in planning efforts in order to address sudden or major issues that arise in our community
